In 1929, the entire world turned its attention to Gaston County. A labor dispute had risen, a strike had taken place and by the end of the year, two people had been murdered. In this interactive program, students will examine the 1929 Loray Mill Strike, its connections to the National Labor Movement, Communism, and what it means to be “American.”
