Storytime with the Museum

A Year of Imagination and Fun

In partnership with the Dallas Branch Library, the Gaston County Museum launched Storytime with the Museum in 2025—and it’s been a wonderful journey ever since! Designed especially for young children and their caregivers, this lively monthly series blends storytelling, music, dancing, and hands-on crafts to encourage creativity and foster a love for reading.

Held on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30 AM, Storytime with the Museum takes place right here at the Museum and is led by our enthusiastic staff alongside the welcoming team from the Dallas Library. Each session offers a fun, educational experience perfect for preschoolers and early learners.

This FREE program invites families to explore books, build community, and enjoy a morning full of laughter and discovery. No reservations are required—just bring your little ones and prepare to have fun!
