Opening on April 30 in the Bullpen Gallery

Visitors to the Gaston County Museum of Art & History can engage with feminine strength in Dr. Portia York’s fiber works beginning Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

“We are excited to exhibit an artist whose work highlights the intricate layers of women’s lived experiences,” Gaston County Museum’s Curator, Alicyn Wiedrich said. “We hope that visitors will spend time in the exhibition and find beauty and meaning in Portia’s exploration of identity, femininity, and strength.”
