The (Mostly) Complete Look at Civil War era Medicine.
Students learn about Civil War medicine in this engaging and active program built on teamwork and history.
This outreach program comes to your classroom. Not your typical “Civil War” program – this program concentrates on the medical side of the battlefield. Overview discussions of common medical practices of the day, disease, field conditions, and more will provide your students with a concrete understanding of life as an 1800’s field surgeon.
A highly engaging and interactive program that will have students squirming at leeches, squealing at the thought of the bone saw, and racing in teams to “save” their classmates as field medics.
