Timeless Toys: Childhood Treasures from 1900-1950 is open now through January 29, 2022
A new exhibit about toys is now open at the Gaston County Museum of Art & History. Timeless Toys: Childhood Treasures from 1900-1950 will be on display December 7, 2021 through January 29, 2022. No matter how technology evolves, toys are timeless. From dolls to bb guns, the Gaston County Museum has a small variety of toys that will remind you of things that are still popular and recognizable today.
Joining the Gaston County Museum’s team is curator Alicyn Wiedrich. Timeless Toys is her first addition to the museum’s exhibits. “I chose to do a small exhibit about toys when I arrived because it speaks to people of all ages and walks of life,” Wiedrich explains. “It was so much fun looking at all of the toys in the collection to find ones that I thought would resonate with the community.”
Visit the Gaston County Museum of Art & History from 10am-5pm Tuesdays through Fridays and 10am-3pm on Saturdays. Holiday hours may vary, so check the website and social media channels before visiting. You can also call (704) 922-7681 for more details.
