Open January 13 in the Bullpen Gallery

Visitors to the Gaston County Museum of Art & History can take steps through the mind of artist Cecil (C. J.) Norris beginning Saturday, January 13, 2024. Norris’s exhibit “Intersection” is a body of work created in 2022 and 2023 in which he hones his incredible talent and attention to detail to comment on the world around him. From consumerism to water resources under threat, Norris uses a critical eye and impeccable skill to express his thoughts in painting, drawing, and collage. .

“As always, we are excited to support a regional artist,” Gaston County Museum’s Curator, Alicyn Wiedrich said. “We hope that visitors will feel comfortable in our space to sit with Norris’s works and discover how they feel about the subjects presented.”

“Intersection” will be open from January 13 through April 6, 2024. A public opening will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 6-8pm at the Gaston County Museum. Light refreshments will be served.
